My wife, Bill’s Sister and I grew up in the same neighborhood in NY. Our parents were very close friends as we grew up.
The adults (as us as we became eligible) belonged to the neighborhood Volunteer Fire Dept, the Community Church and the local Scout Troup. We also went to the same schools, despite being a few grades apart. Our families traveled, camped, partied, suffered the trials and enjoyed the joys of life together - before, during and after WWII. Bill was also my Best Man at our wedding.
We were extended family, friends and comrades in arms!
Rest In Peace and be reunited with Kat,
my friend !
