

Together, Don and Lisa shared 17 years of marriage and 20 years of knowing each other.
Born in Crestview, FL. Don was the son of William D Raulerson and Mary K. Raulerson. Don graduated from Escambia High School in 1981. Don served honorably in the Army from 1986 to 1989 and was honorably discharged as a US Army Specialist in 1989.
During his career, Don worked for the Dept. of Defense and State department as a maintenance building contractor which allowed him to travel throughout the world during his time of employment. In addition, Don was a skilled craftsman possessing the knowledge and ability to build and/or maintain a variety of machines and instruments essential to many people.
In his limited spare time, Don enjoyed reading, viewing military documentaries, and eating out with family and friends. He was a passionate debater and a very giving person with his time and heart.
Don is survived by (wife) Lisa Raulerson; his father, William D Raulerson; his sister RET. Army Sgt. Donna C. Hoag, as well as his children; USN MA1 Joel (SiahMaes) Nelsen, Katherine Raulerson RN, Amy (Christopher) Moody, and Ryan Birch. In addition, his grandchildren Sophia Grace Nelsen, Gabriel Scott Nelsen, MacKenzie Moody. Numerous nieces and nephews including; Kelly (John) Getty, US Army PRT Cory (Bonnie) Hoag, Bradley Hoag, Also surviving are; great-niece Emelyn Getty, and great-nephews Jack Getty, Toland Haog, Sutton Hoag. Included in survivors are his brother-in-law RET. USN CPO Todd (Becca) Crockett, niece Sara (USMC Cpl Logan) Leake + Baby Girl Leake and nephew AF A1C Brandon Crockett. Finally, a dear aunt Ruth (RET USN ATCS Jim) Lee.
Don was predeceased by his mother Mary K. Raulerson and Grandmother Margarite A. Miller as well as his parents-in-law, Richard and Nancy Crockett.
Visitation will be held on February 5, 2024, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home from 9:30-10:30 followed by graveside services at NAS Pensacola at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation.
