

He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 4, 1946 to Bennett and Mary Lou Scott. After his father's sudden passing, William and his mother moved back to the family home in Arkansas. There she married Ralph Cook and the family soon moved to Pensacola. After serving in the Air Force, William finished his college education and worked in accounting for DFAS at Pensacola Naval Air Station.
He retired in 2008 and happily spent as much time on the golf course as possible. William loved cheering on the Florida Gators and he knew every episode of The Andy Griffith Show by heart. He enjoyed taking his family on trips where many wonderful memories were made.
Following the example of his parents, William had a deep faith in God. His family takes great comfort in knowing he is walking hand in hand with Jesus.
William leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Ellen (formerly Caetano); devoted son Joshua Richard White (Sara); and loving siblings Karon Hull (Skip); Melody Mondello; and Everett Cook (Tami). He is also survived by sisters-in-law Elizabeth Zuccaro (Randy); Edi Caetano; Elaine Sasser and brothers-in-law Michael Caetano (Alison); Richard Caetano (Thess); Alan Caetano and James Caetano. He was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Mary Lou Cook; birth father Bennett Scott; and brothers-in-law Steve Mondello and Jim Epley.
