William was born March 22, 1955 in Andalusia, Alabama to Malcolm E. Thornton and Betty June Grimes Thornton. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Iris Lorraine Ballard.
William is survived by his wife, Connie Thornton; son, William M. Thornton, Jr.; daughter, Karma Rae Thornton; brother, Joey Thornton; sisters, Connie J. Sawyer and Lisa Harper; grandchildren, William T. Thornton, William M. Thornton III, Crispin Thornton, Ella Rae Custard and Mia Kay Custard.
As per William's wishes he will be cremated and services will be held at a later date.
