I always loved seeing Uncle Richard at Christmas at Mawmaw and Pawpaws house. He loved to cut up and had a memorable laugh. He will be missed.

The Richard Wasden I know has been my friend for over 40 years. We were neighbors and friends during our Army time in Germany. We both migrated to Pensacola were we both ended up with careers in federal civil service. During that time he wore several hats, he was a patriot, a soldier, a salesman, a civil servant, a friend, a husband and a father. Richards passing is sad, but the life we shared wasn't . Our adventures and interactions where purposeful and memorable and some where unmentionable. He was by my side when I buried my Father. When my children were born he was their first visitor. We were Brothers! I was privileged to be his friend. Thank you for being in my life my friend.
