Winona D. Williams, 74, of Pensacola died Friday, August 20, 2010, her husband, Jimmy D. Williams, 77, died Sunday, July 11, 2010. Winona and Jimmy moved to Pensacola from Pueblo, Colorado.
Winona and Jimmy were both born in Texas, Winona in Brownwood and Jimmy in Winters. They were married for 55 years. Winona and Jimmy were active members of First Baptist Church of Pensacola. Jimmy was a social worker at NAS Pensacola and the Director of Samaritan Hands. He is endeared as a great man with a listening ear and caring heart.
Winona was a nurse and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always putting others first. We celebrate their lives, love and memories.
They are preceded in death by their daughters, Mary Scheid and Debbie Williams.
Winona and Jimmy are survived by their son, John Key Williams and wife, Janet; daughter, Martha Wilson and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Joey, Walter, Lara, Courtney and Jimmy; great grandchild, RD.; Jimmy’s sister, Patricia Moore; Winona’s brother, Bill Bradley and her sister, Wilma Bradley.
Funeral services for Winona will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Pleitz Chapel with Dr. Barry Howard officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
Winona will be laid to rest, next to her beloved husband, at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas on Friday, August 27, 2010.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Hands.
