Yuko met her husband, Lyman Woodruff, in Japan when he was stationed there with the United States Navy. Shortly after they got married Lyman received orders to return home to the United States, and him and his new bride made their way home. She was a cook (some would argue the best) at Yamato in West Pensacola for many years. She had a gift for cooking, she could go to a restaurant and try something new and recreate that dish at home just by tasting it. Yuko enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with friends.
Yuko was predeceased by her parents, Nasutaro and Taka. She is survived by her loving husband, Lyman Woodruff as well as many close friends that became family over the years. She will be greatly missed.
