

Alexandra Lynn Zich, 34, of Brooklyn, New York, formerly of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Brooklyn. She was born on July 17, 1990, in Peoria, the daughter of Walter J. Zich Jr. and Gynell L. (Aeschleman) Zich.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Gynell L. (Aeschleman) Zich.
Alex is survived by her father, Walter Zich, Jr.; stepmother, Nathenia Zich; her brother, Joe Zich; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless close friends. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to shine brightly in our memories.
She brought joy, laughter, and light into our lives and the lives of everyone who knew her.
Alex had an infectious spirit that could lift the heaviest of hearts. With her warm smile and quick wit, she had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, even in the toughest times. Whether sharing a funny story or offering her unique perspective on life, Alex reminded us all to find joy in the little things.
She was a loving daughter, caring sister, a cherished friend, and a source of strength for many. Alex was passionate about food, whether cooking or dining! She thoroughly enjoyed crossword puzzles, and most of all spending time with her dog Mallery. Her enthusiasm inspired those around her. She embraced life with love and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.
She was a graduate of Peoria Notre Dame High School and Kendall College in Chicago.
Alex moved to New Orleans after finishing culinary school and enjoyed her role as a Chef, at two of the finest restaurants in the city. In recent years Alex focused her work in restaurant technology industry helping dozens of family-owned restaurants.
Alexandra's memorial visitation will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. There will be a private graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Alexandra's name to St Jude Children Research Hospital.
