He was born in Peoria, IL to Alfred W. and Kathryn E. (Ronk) Archdale Sr. He married Mary Hoagland in Peoria Heights on Dec. 18, 1976. She survives.
Also surviving are his father; five children, Angela, Amy, Andrew, Alfred III “Will”, Kellie; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Alfred owned Bartonville Automotive for 30 years. He was the 2nd generation of a 4 generation racing family, and an avid NASCAR fan.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Chapel. Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery in Smithville.
