Alice "Gerry" Geraldine Hughes

She was born to William M. and Alice L. (Pyle) Moffitt on March 29, 1934 in Carrier Mills, IL.

She married Richard K. Marchand on June 8, 1951 in Bloomington, IL he preceded her in death on February 28, 1973. She then married James T. Hughes on February 14, 1975 in Peoria, IL he preceded her in death on May 12, 1994.

Gerry is survived by her six children; Carol (Bruce) Schneider, Dave (Roxanna) Marchand, Becky (Chuck) Gabbert, Joanne (Jeff) Lueders, Mark (Stacey) Marchand, Chris (Linda) Marchand. Three step children; Dan Hughes, Cindy Capps, and Steve Hughes. Eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, her brother Charles Moffitt, and sister-in-law Linda Moffitt

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Max Moffitt, sister Mary Ward, and sister-in-law Nancy Moffitt.

Gerry’s greatest joy in life was her family.

A visitation will be held 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday March 1, 2018 at Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel.

A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Swan Lake Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Association or American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate.
