

He was born July 21, 1955 in Peoria, a son of Eugene and Lillie E. Beckley Williams. He is engaged to Jewel Porter of Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Marcus Hightower and Donna Hightower both of Jacksonville, FL; two step-children, April Gillespie and Antonio Powell both of Peoria; 13 grandchildren; his mother; three sisters, Hattie (Karl) Taylor, Sharon (Alton) Garland, and Denise (Richard) Carter all of Peoria; three brothers, Stanford Williams of Peoria, Herman Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, and Michael Summerville of Chicago; one aunt, Mary Frances Robinson of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, one son, Gerrick Porter, one granddaughter, Janyia Sturdivant, one nephew, Anthony Taylor, and his grandparents.
He was employed by Federal Warehouse in East Peoria as Supervisor of Maintenance for 24 years.
He loved his family and was a hard worker. He also loved landscaping.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2010 at Peoria Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria where he was a member. Dr. Claude Russell will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at church. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
