He was born December 21, 1914 in Kenney, Illinois to A.J. and Mary M. (Morse) Monts. He married Marian L. Clark on October 5, 1940 in Bloomington, IL. She passed away on October 30, 2006.
Surviving are his children, Marty Case of Dallas, TX, Linda Monts of Washington, IL, and Allen (Sue) Monts of Dunlap; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Andy earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois during the Great Depression. He was employed as a foreman at Hiram-Walker for 43 years, only missing 2 days of work.
He was deeply loved and will be missed by his family, but got tired of waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 2, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Pastor Paul Park will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
