

Anna Merlin Millard, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 103. Born on December 23, 1922, in Evansville, Indiana, she was the daughter of James and Gertie (Gentry) Broshears. Merlin was a resident of Peoria, Illinois.
Merlin married Eugene Millard on May 9, 1942, and they celebrated 71 years of marriage before Eugene's passing on June 12, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Stephen, her son Raymond Miller, and her siblings Dorothy, Ed, and Lee.
She is survived by her son, David (Kathy) Millard of Peoria, and her two daughters, Kathy (Randy) Stueve of Venice, Florida, and Sally (Ken) Maubach of Edwards. Merlin also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Tammy (Steve) Grivich, Vince (Olga) Majerus, Heather (Mark) Ragaller, Ross (Cortney) Miller, Michael (Trisha) Millard, Rebecca (Clint) Reno, Daniel (Jackie) Millard, Brent Stueve, Laura (Doug) Humke, and Nathan Stueve, as well as 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Carol Miller.
Merlin was known for her love of reading and painting. Her family expresses gratitude for the kindness and comfort from the staff at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria.
Services will be held on Friday, January 9, at 11 a.m., with an hour of prior visitation at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Wilton, Peoria. Pastor Rob Collins will officiate. Merlin will be laid to rest at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
