Tony had his certification in electrical engineering and had been employed with various companies throughout his career. Tony was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bulls, and Kansas City Chiefs fan. In his free time, Tony loved playing sports and was a huge Michael Jordan fan. He especially loved hanging out with his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and collecting vintage items. One of Tony's greatest gifts was always being able to make everyone laugh.
Tony is survived by his four children, Zachary Sloniger of Mendon, Autumn Peters of Bloomington, Jordan Gallaher and Juliet Gallaher of Pekin; siblings, Todd (Christina) Knight, Robbie (Bettymarie) Gallaher, Randy (April) Gallaher, Jamie (Rhonda) Gallaher, Lisa Gallaher, Jodi Gallaher–LeMatty, Chris Gallaher, Robbie (Gina) Taber, Roy Gallaher all of Quincy, Mike (Pansy) Knight of Palmyra, MO, and Rick (Andrea) Gallaher of Kirksville, MO; grandmother, Evelyn Clinging of Quincy; uncles, Mark Clinging of Quincy and David (Rosie) Tournear of Moline, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the White Horse Tavern in Quincy.
