Anthony Thomas LaHood, Jr., 85, of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Goldwater Care in Peoria Heights. Born in Peoria, on November 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Anthony and Martha (Couri) LaHood.
Surviving him are his siblings, Carol (Ron) Walster, Dennis (Kathy) LaHood, Jeanne Cooper, and Robert (Lois) LaHood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth LaHood; a sister, Mary Katherine LaHood; and a brother-in-law, Bob Cooper.
Anthony was a resident at St. Sharbel Village for many years. He performed administrative work at Machinery Transports and was a member of the IT00 Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation being held the hour prior. Interment will take place privately at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the AYTOU Medicine Fund.
