Anthony James Mitchell

He was born in Peoria, IL on August 16, 1935, the son of James & Louise (Cashen) Mitchell. He married Velmamae Poulsen on September 13, 1965 in Peoria, IL. She preceded him in death on September 15, 2000.

Anthony retired from Caterpillar as a machinist in September 2000 after 35 years of service. He is an Air Force veteran, serving from 1957-1961.

He is survived by 2 sons, Greg (Vickie) Beoletto of Hudson, IL and James (Julie) Mitchell of Waverly, Iowa; 3 daughters, Pam (Pat) White of Nebraska, Joan (James) Chiola of Peoria, IL and Kim (James) Howard of Tremont, IL; 8 Grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Betty Barnes of Metamora, IL.

Anthony was also preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and 3 sisters, Nancy, Joan, and Pauline.

A funeral service will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel on Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 at 2 p.m. with a visitation 1 hr. prior. Deacon John R. Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements have been trusted to Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.
