Arlene Louise Lister passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at Buehler Home in Peoria, Illinois, where she had resided for 23 years. She was born on August 24, 1924, in LaSalle, Illinois, to Harold Gale Buckner and Mildred Elizabeth McCormack.
She married Gregory Ivan Lister in LaSalle, Illinois, on April 9, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1994. They had two children – Allan Lister who died in 1992 and Mary Lister Maubach (married to James) who survives. Arlene had five grandchildren – Timothy Lister, Amy Lister Valentine, Cassandra Maubach Schertz, Christopher Maubach, and Nicole Maubach DuPureur and five great grandchildren. She is loved and will be missed by her family and the residents and staff of Buehler Home’s Health Center for her ability to get people to connect and participate.
Arlene had worked as an independent contractor in market research for many years. She retired from her job as a computer operator for Options Center in 1994.
She was a member of the Bradley Shuffleboard Club, First English Lutheran Young at Heart Club, Fortnightly Club of Arcadia Presbyterian Church, Belles & Beaus Square Dance Club, Chimes Choir
