She was born on October 4, 1923 in Knoxville, TN to Mac and Adline Free. She married Joseph R. Ford and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters.
Arletta is survived five children, David C. England of West Chicago, IL, Bernard P. (Georgia) England III of Peoria, Karen L. Hasselbacher of Brimfield, Diana L. Fenski of Washington, IL and Craig L. (Karen) England of Peoria; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Arletta was a loving and caring mother to her children. She loved to volunteer, especially at United Methodist Church and the Friendship House. She was a member of Glen Oak Christian Church.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Chaplain Carolyn Roper-Fowlkes will officiate. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
