Arthur E. Gaul

He was born June 7, 1917 in Peoria to William and Tillie (Windsor) Gaul. He married Dorothy C. Johnson in Peoria on April 12, 1936. She preceded him in death on Dec. 3, 1988. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald; and 2 brothers. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara (Dale) Hoffman of Peoria; 6 grandchildren, Darrin Gaul, Michelle (Raymond) Fisher, Rhonda (Darrell) Hadley, Jeff (Erika) Hoffman, Don (Sarah) Hoffman, Dan (Tammy) Gaul; Rhonda and Darrin's mother, Nancy Gaul; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Arthur was a WWII Army Veteran. He worked at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Peoria and was a longtime member of Madison Avenue United Methodist Church in Peoria. He was an avid bowler and was active in several Peoria area leagues. He loved to dance and was a die-hard Cubs fan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Woodland Chapel with Rev.
