

He was born April 21, 1942 in New Glarus, WI to Marshall and Thea (Buer) Inman. He married Carolyn “Carrie” Putnam on July 31, 1971 in Springfield, IL. She survives along with one daughter, Emily (Tony) Craghead of Washington, IL, one son, Erik (Jess) Inman of Dunlap, five grandchildren: Ella Craghead, Colt Craghead, Maeve Craghead, all of Washington, Parker Inman, Bentley Inman both of Dunlap, four sisters: Constance (William Means) Carr of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Barbara (Rick) Febey of Charlottesville, VI, Maggie Inman of Oak Park, IL, Patricia (Rick Easty) Inman of Oak Park, IL, and two brothers: Dale Inman of Smyrna, TN and Ron (Rhonda) Inman of Caldwell, ID.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: David and Donald Inman.
Art was a United States Marine Veteran. He was an attorney for 50 years, having his own practice Arthur J. Inman Attorney at Law retiring in 2018. He was a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Peoria Kiwanis Club. He also was an avid racquetball player. Art was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Global Methodist Church in Washington, IL. Visitation will be from 9:30 am till time of services at the church on Thursday.
