

He was born on Jan. 24, 1928, in Peoria to Benjamin and Isabel (Elliot) Siebenthal. He married Elaine McCumber on June 30, 1945, in Peoria. She survives, along with one daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Weaver of Brimfield; and four grandchildren, Shelley Cagwin of Brimfield, Jenny (Jared) Schlipf of Brimfield, Matt Weaver of Peoria and Jeff (Tara) Weaver of Brimfield. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Kylie and Ella Cagwin, Kenzie (Austin) Sims, Kaden, Caleb and Colton Schlipf, Tyler and Brynna Weaver and Corbin, Cane and Cray Weaver; one great-great-grandson, Baylor Sims; one brother, Paul (Bonnie) Siebenthal of Arlington, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ron Siebenthal; and twin brothers, Alfred and Albert Siebenthal.
Ben worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 36 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the University United Methodist Church in Peoria. He was an avid tennis player, enjoyed watching football, loved going to all family functions and coaching his grandchildren’s baseball teams.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Ben requested no services. A celebration of his life for immediate family will be held at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
