

Beryl was born in Peoria, IL, on July 9, 1945, the son of Beryl L. Sr. and Norma J. Kaestler-Gish. He married Cheryl Sue Callahan on November 23, 1968. He was preceded in death by his father.
Beryl was a 1963 graduate of Richwoods Community High School and a 1969 graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering. He had a 32-year career at Case New Holland Co. in management, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Northminister Presbyterian Church in Peoria. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan his whole life. In recent years, he and his wife were snowbirds in Venice, FL. His greatest joys were activities with family and friends, especially his dearly loved grandchildren.
Beryl is survived by his wife of 48 years; a daughter, Kendra Mueller and his two grandchildren, Alyssa and Andrew Mueller, all of Washington, IL; his mother, Norma Gish of Peoria; a sister, Marilyn Smogorzewski of Peoria; a niece, Heather (Andrew) Smogorzewski-Snyder of Round Lake, IL; and a stepmother, Alice Gish of Peoria.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. An hour prior visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
Beryl's family would like to thank the OSF Neuro ICU staff for their excellent and compassionate care.
