Beth Boykin

  Beth G. Boykin, 68, of Peoria, passed away at 9:34 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her residence.   She was born November 12, 1943 in Peoria to Kenneth and Betty (Enders) Baker and was raised by her grandparents Dorathy and Sheldon Enders.  She married James Boykin on October 26, 1963 in Norwood, IL.  He died September 4, 2010 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and infant sister.   Beth is survived by her children; Stephanie Holford, Gina Boykin, and Jason Boykin all of Peoria;  four sisters, Ardis Lynn Blair of Frisco, TX, Yvonne Young of Gainesville, FL, Denise Reed of Arlington, TX, Dorathy (Steven) Amadore of Peoria; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.   Beth worked for Montgomery Ward for many years before retiring from J.C. Penny after working in the draperies department for over 20 years.  She also was a very successful Avon rep.   Beth enjoyed bowling in many Peoria area leagues.  Her pride and joy though was her yard.  She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers.  She also loved her family dearly and took pride in being the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt she could be.  She will be missed.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel.  Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.   Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.   Online tributes and condolences may be made at www.davison-fulton.com.
