She was born Feb. 13, 1930 in Easton, IL to Leo and Zelda (Whitlow) Dobson. She married Melvin “Bud” Hasty on Jan. 11, 1947 in Peoria. He passed away June 13, 2003 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Vonee “Sis” Nolan of Mapleton, one son, Gregory (Patsy) Hasty of Peoria, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters, and one brother, Ron Dobson of Peoria.
Betty worked at Lizer Pharmacy in Peoria during the 1960’s. She was an avid bowler for years in Peoria area bowling leagues.
The family would like to thank Comfort Plus Hospice and especially Laura for their care and compassion for Betty in her final days.
Cremation rites has ben accorded. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements. Entombment will be in American Mausoleum at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Peoria Animal Shelter.
