Betty J. Lashbrook

Betty was born October 17, 1936 in Moulton, Alabama, the daughter of John Henry Jr. & Mildred Marie Hines Martin. She moved to the Peoria area and met her husband Jack Lashbrook . They married November 19, 1955 in Peoria.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years; her children, Joyce (Gary) Harper of Pekin, Barbara (Don) Goben of Decatur, TN, Jack Lashbrook Jr. of East Peoria, Bonnie (Charles) Maness of Brighton, TN; she was blessed to have 9 grandchildren, Jayme Emery, Lori Hiatt, Kelly (Matt) Hopper, Jessie Goben, Scott Hiatt, Nicholas , Christopher, Bradley , and Victoria Maness; and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Ashley, Carley and Wyatt; one sister Tommie Martin of East Peoria; three brothers, James (Martha) Martin of Homewood, AL, Charles (Sheila) Martin of Washburn, Gerald (Sandy) Martin of Parkensburg, Iowa; one aunt, Ruth Roberts of Washington; one uncle Marvin (Lucille) Hines also of Washington; many nieces and nephews.

Betty's children were her joy and center of her world. She was an active member of Washington Church of Christ. Betty was a good, strong faithful Christian. She was well loved. As she follows the Lord to heaven she will be met by her parents and grandparents and many other loved ones.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Minister Don Potts will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to family to help with funeral expenses.
