Peoria – Betty L. Madison, 87, of Peoria, IL passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the O.S.F. St. Clair Home. She was born March 1, 1925 in Mason County, IL to Ewell and Arnetta (Wiseman) Fletcher. Betty married Stuart Madison on September 28, 1946 in Peoria, IL.
Surviving is her son James (Julie) Madison of Taylor Ridge, IL, daughter Cindy Schwab of East Peoria, IL, and three grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.
Betty worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years in the Peoria area as an administrative assistant, retiring from Purple Brothers Insurance Agency in Peoria. Betty’s hobbies included volunteering, camping with her husband, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Springdale Cemetery.
