Betty J. Patterson, 71, of Peoria, passed away at 2:52 am on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.She was born on December 11, 1941 in Detriot, MI to William E. and Mildred I. (Heffner) Pritchard. She married George Patterson on July 27, 1958 in Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.Surviving is her husband, George of Peoria, two daughters, M. (Robert) Morris of Peoria and Marcia (Bruce) Galletti of Chillicothe, five grandchildren, Sara (Dan) Culton of Lansing, MI, Allan (Brettney) Boroughf, Johnathan (Jennifer) Boroughf, William Joplin all of Peoria and Penny Joplin of Chillicothe. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren and five sisters, Margaret Newberry of Peoria, Carol Gruhn of Carson City, NV, Vicky Harms of Chillicothe, Sharon (Jerry) Hasler of Roanoke, IL and Linda (Ronald) Booth of Washburn, IL.Betty was a member of Bradley Epworth United Methodist Church and will be remembered as a loving, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and sister.A visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A funeral will be on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Parkview Mausoleum in Peoria.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or to Susan G. Komen, Central Illinois Chapter.
