Betty June Swahlstedt

Betty was born in Peoria on June 21, 1923 the daughter of Otis & Estella Schultz Wilson. She married William John Swahlstedt on August 18, 1950 in Kankakee. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1979.

She is survived by two sons, Kim (Beth) of Naperville & Kip (Jonel) of Edwards; one daughter, Kit (Mike) Hefner of Granville; three granddaughters, Kristen Swahlstedt of Huntley, Jessica (Sean) Roe of Las Vegas NV, and Stephanie Swahlstedt of Edwards; three grandsons, Michael Swahlstedt of Chicago, Eric Swahlstedt of Edwards, and Adam Swahlstedt also of Edwards; and one great-grandson, Owen Roe.

Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Jeanne Kelley.

She was a teacher for District 150 teaching at Garfield. She was also in the Teachers Sorority ADK.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Rev. Stephen Barch will officiate.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
