Betty Test

She was born April 2, 1925 in Bloomington, IL to Bert Allen Hobson and Maude Jane (Jordine) Hobson. Betty married Robert L. Test on August 17, 1944 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2004 in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Larry A. Test and six sisters and four brothers and their spouses: Ollie Ann and Henry Reich of Sacramento, CA., Leona May Hobson at birth of Bloomington, IL, Margaret Elizabeth and William Woith of Lombard, IL, Nellie Irene and Ulysses McKinzie of Peoria, IL, Gladys Ruby and Joe Randle of Peoria, IL, Mary Agnes and Carl Roos of Peoria, IL, Ralph Hobson at birth of Bloomington, IL, Albert Lee and Esther Hobson of Bloomington, IL, William Andrew and Eleanor Hobson of Granite City, IL, Floyd Willis and Jeanette Hobson of Sublette, IL.

Betty is survived by two sons; Larry A. Test of Bellevue and Robert R. (Sheila) Test of Bellevue, one niece that she helped raise and was more like a daughter, Christine E. (Test) Johnson of Peoria, one grandson Mark A. (Gale) Test of Texas, and four great grandchildren; Brandon and Vanessa Test of Texas and Jesse and Christina Test of Peoria. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews on the Test side of her family.

Mom had four nieces and two nephews on the Hobson side of her family that she was very fond of. Mary Lou White of Carol Stream, IL, Joyce Irene Collier of Peoria, IL, Mary Jane Thurmond of Peoria, IL, Carol Louise Noel of East Peoria, IL, Albert Lawrence Hobson of Chicago, IL, and Jerry Lee Hobson of Nixa, MO.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Pastor Chuck Wilcox will officiate. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
