She was born March 15, 1931 in Peoria to Fred D. and Lucille (Leigraf) Slusher. She graduated from Manual Training High School in 1948. She married Roger F. Maier in Peoria on June 26, 1949, and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2008.
She is survived by her children, Debra (Robert) Baker, of Hot Springs, AR, Roger A. Maier, of Peoria Heights, and Karen (Richard) Sudaj, of Peru, IL; grandchildren, Robert A. (Kim) Baker, Michael J. (Nikki) Baker, Nathan Sudaj, and Kalie Sudaj; three step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Leggott; and brother-in-law, Arlan Maier.
Her last words to Roger were, “It’s my time, I’ll be fine. I love you all, don’t cry. I’ll go to sleep now.”
The family wishes to thank the staff of Unity Point Hospice, and their compassionate nurses, and staff.
Per Beverly’s wishes, cremation will be accorded, and a private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church.
