Brenda Briggs

Peoria – Brenda C. Briggs, 60, of Peoria, IL passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born March 8, 1955 in Fayetteville, TN to Bobby and Christine (Sanders) Taylor. Brenda married Steve Briggs, Sr. on June 5, 1970 in St. Louis, MO. Surviving is her husband Steve Briggs, Sr., of Peoria, IL, her loving children: Christina (George) Moyzis of Palos Park, IL, Donald E. Briggs of Merrillville, IN, daughter-in-laws; Michelle Briggs and Maria Saavedra, Sherry (Kenneth) Moreno of Valparaiso, IN, and Steve A. Briggs, Jr., of Peoria, IL, and daughter-in-law Jackie Fitch, grandchildren: Marisa, George, Abriana, Javier, Donnie, Joey, Landen, Caliann, Yalitza, Destiny, Daniel, Alyssa, Shayla, Koral, Haley, Alexis, Avah, and Julian, great granddaughter; Aliyanah, great grandson; Ayden, three sisters: Bobbie Ann Lamb, Becky Taylor, and Deborah Munoz, and two brothers: Charles and Ricky Taylor. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and grandson. Brenda worked for Dollar General in Dunlap for five years. Her hobbies included dancing and fishing. Brenda loved to spend time with her husband, sisters, family, and friends. She will be deeply missed. Services will be held at 2 pm Monday, January 4, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 – 2 pm Monday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
