

Carol Sue Schenck, 85, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at her home, surrounded by loving family. Born in Canton IL, on March 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joe and May (Christy) Jackson.
Surviving Carol are two sons, Joel Schenck and Boyd (Loraine) Schenck; grandchildren, Brandon (Rachel) Schenck, Joshua (Samantha) Schenck, Amanda Schenck, and Abby (Jake) Manning; great grandchildren, Phoenix Schenck, Kapri Schenck, Matthew Schenck, Lilly Schenck, and Spencer Manning.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Burt, Andy, James, and June; a son, Matthew Schenck; great grandson, Oliver Schenck; and former husband, Gary Schenck.
Carol was employed at home taking care of her three boys and then later became a switchboard operator with South View Medical Group in Birmingham. She enjoyed being active within her church and church choir. She attended Bradley university on a singing scholarship and studied vocal performance. She was also the first Miss Fulton, county fair queen.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
