

Cassandra was born in Chicago on January 1, 1974. the daughter of Walter Russell and Ester Zollicoffer. She lived with her mother in Chicago prior to moving to Peoria in 1980. She grew up in Peoria at 1212 S. Matthew. She attended Blaine- Sumner Middle School. She was a graduate of Manual High School in 1993. Cassandra was a person who loved to make people laugh. She enjoyed singing and cooking. During high school she worked for Cilco Light Company. Upon graduation, at the age of 19, she moved to Chicago. She worked at a number of jobs in Chicago the last being as a senior payroll administrator at Extreme Reach.
She is survived by her mother Ester (Charles) Mack of Peoria; one sister, Remona Wallace of Peoria; one brother, Charles (Edwina) Story of St. Louis; two half-sisters, Patricia and Shanda Russell; one half-brother, Walter Russell Jr. all three of Sunflower, MS; two nieces and three nephews; her grandmother, Essie Zollicoffer of Peoria; and many aunts and uncles.
Cassandra was preceded in death by her father, a grandfather, one half- brother, and one special cousin.
She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness organization.
Funeral service will be Saturday November 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Elder Warren Handy will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 2, 2013 also at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
