I remember growing up and seeing her during every holiday, special event, small event or just hanging around at her home.
She was always there and I’ve never known life without her, I never imagined life without her either.
I remember quite well the quiet tube she’d hum to when busied in the kitchen, a tune I often heard my grandmother hum and occasionally myself as well.

Almost every holiday we’ve go eat at her house, her and grandma would make pies and some of the greatest food in the world. She’d tell me stories while I played with my legos and tiny animals, we’d sit outside on her chair swing and enjoy the sun and fresh air, Great Grandma would tend to her cherry tomatoes while I played in the small sandbox she had for me in the yard as well.

There’s so many memories I have of her and how amazing of a women she was. But I’ll always remember her saying “Hi Tay” everytime I came in the door, followed by the warm hug she’d give me. It’s something I’ll never hear or feel again, a scent I’ll never smell again or a feeling that I’ll never feel again when walking into her home and seeing her.

I am so very sorry to learn of the loss of your mom. Cherish the memories of her. I always admired her for being such a strong, independent woman raising two kids on her own.

I think of Kathie each time I grill a steak or burger on the grill she donated to a sale to raise funds for Lads to Leaders program at church. RIP Kathie, prayers for the grieving family. God bless!

I was just thinking about Kathie a few days ago. Miss her ever since she went into her apartment. She was married to Ernest, my husband's uncle. She was always sweet to us and was very active in church activities. She sure loved her family. "Missing you Kathie". Comfort to all her family at this time. Jim &Twila Caraway!
