Chad M. Patroff, 42, of Peoria Heights, IL passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1974 in Peoria, IL to Don and Marilyn (Pitts) Crossland. Chad married Carrie Downing on June 26, 1999 in Peoria, IL. Surviving is his wife Carrie Patroff of Peoria Heights, four sons; Trae, Luke, Riley, and Jesse Patroff, two sisters; Gennie (Will) Mowder of Peoria and Ella Sluss of Arkansas, numerous aunts, uncles, and eleven nieces and nephews. Chad was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and brother, Todd Patroff. Chad was a children’s and youth pastor at the Rock Church in the Peoria Area, a youth pastor in Richmond, KY, and he founded the Asylum Youth Ministry in Peoria. Chad was passionate about a lot of things, but most noteworthy (besides Carrie and the boys): POD (band), the Dallas Cowboys, rescuing outcasts and misfits, and Jesus. Chad was more than out-of-the- box; Chad was a no-nonsense, one-of-a-kind wrecking ball for the Kingdom of God. If he thought it, he would say it. If you had something that needed to be torn down in your life, he would burn it to the ground. Chad would do anything for anybody. Whatever it took. He was all in…and then some. Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Congenital Heart Center at Children’s Hospital in Peoria or to the family. Online tributes may be left at www.Davison-Fulton.com
