Grandpa with Great Granddaughter

Tammie Turner

May 9, 2019

Grandfathers are good listeners, good storytellers, and most importantly, good friends. They are always there to laugh and play with their grandkids and even console them when necessary. Grandfathers are also often the source of sage advice, a benefit of their many years of experience. One thing is for sure, the love of a grandfather is a unique treasure that is never forgotten by their grandchildren. The times spent with a grandfather turn into precious memories that are conserved in the heart, even long after they have passed.
I know we are all feeling a little bit sad
That we've lost our Grandpa, our friend, and our dad.
Together we have cried an ocean of tears
As we feel so empty and hold many fears.
But Grandpa would want us to know he's in a good place
And that he's watching us all with a smile on his face,
As we have made him so proud, as proud as can be
That he has raised such a beautiful and special family.
Thinking back now, I really must say
I feel lucky and privileged to have known Grandpa to this day.
For in my life, you have played a special part.
The memories I will treasure and keep close to my heart.
For me, I am glad my daughter he got to meet.
And for all of us, be grateful, his life is now complete.
To each one of us he has loved and cared.
As a family, be thankful for the good times we shared.
Although he has gone, we will always be together,
And his spirit will live on in each one of us forever.
When you look to the sky, look for the brightest star,
As that will be Grandpa looking down on us from afar.
And now I would like to thank the good Lord above
For blessing us with our Grandpa, with his kindness and love.
Dear God, if it is not too much fuss,
Take extra special care of our Grandpa, for he is very dear to us.
Grandpa, if you are listening, say a prayer for us every day.
Be sure to protect us and guide us on our way.
We know when God called you, you had to go,
But we want you to know we miss and love you.

Out of everybody that knew Chuck, people that worked with him, or others that knew him, I have never heard one person say a bad word about him, or did I ever hear him say a bad word about another person. God knows he could have written a book on me.
That is very impressive.
I offer my condolences to the Family. He will be missed.
The World is a little more dim now.
Rest easy Charles, you have earned it.

First off Family and Friends: I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to all of my family especially my Grandmother Shirley Turner ❤. I will miss grandpa Chuck and cherish my many memories I had with him forever! Grandpa was a very kind, generous, and loving man. He would do anything to help anyone; even if it seemed hard or difficult he always pulled through for his wife and family. I'll always remember the holidays and summers I visited in Peoria. I was horrible at doing math but grandpa helped me even if I got the answer wrong; he was patient enough to explain math to me while doing his own paperwork or cutting out coupons. I remember going grocery shopping with him or following him around the house and outside; We would visit great grandma Turner and his sister Florence many times, or eating bowls of strawberry ice cream or the other 2 favorites hotdogs and pork chops which I still love today. I remember how much he loved my grandmother and all of his family. All the wrestling shows on TV, at 1st I didnt know much about wrestling but he got me into watching matches; when my husband watches them they always strike that memory ❤ Chuck accepted everyone he didnt judge nor neglect. Everyone is going to miss this great man but we know he's no longer suffering and hes with his momma, whom he loved so dearly. Its bittersweet but fly high grandpa and watch over us all and dont worry we will take care of grandma, I love you Grandpa and the rest of the family,
My deepest sympathy sent with love sincerely, Amanda Ann Watters-Clark and Family.
Ps. My Grandma Watters sends her condolences to all of our family too❤
