She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from West Liberty State College in West Virginia and later obtained a master’s degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. She taught at Dunlap Grade School and Norwood Elementary School. Her dedication to learning and personal growth was evident throughout her life.
Cheryl’s faith was a cornerstone of her existence. As an active member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, she found great strength and purpose in her relationship with God. Her unwavering belief guided her through life’s challenges and joys alike. Cheryl’s devotion to her faith was not only personal but also something she shared with those around her, serving as an inspiration to many.
Above all else, Cheryl cherished her family. Her love knew no bounds, and she was a devoted spouse, parent, and grandparent. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Bruce Borino; children Cory Matthews (wife Ivy) and Karinda Matthews; stepdaughter Erica Fisher (husband Patrick); grandchildren Scarlett Matthews, Blake Fisher, and Parker Zopp; and son-in-law Garrett Zopp. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Sue Dodasovich; siblings John Daniel Dodasovich, George Robert Dodasovich, Michael Theodore Dodasovich, Sandra Sue Dodasovich, and Cynthia Sue Pritchard; as well as stepdaughter Melisa Zopp. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy—each one holding a special place in her heart.
In addition to her deep love for family and faith, Cheryl enjoyed simple pleasures such as playing dominos and card games. These pastimes brought her joy and created cherished memories with loved ones over the years.
