He was born Nov. 9, 1936 in Norris, IL to Theodore and Minnie (Grubb) Farris. They preceded him in death along with one infant son, Mark Farris, two brothers, six sisters, and the love of his life , Shirley Mansker, who he was with for 39 years until her passing in Dec. 2014.
Survivors include two daughters: Debra (Mac) McClain of Hopedale, Rhonda (Harold) Maharry of Peoria, two sons: Rick (Judy) Farris of Elmwood, Greg Farris of Peoria, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Bud worked as a Laborer out of Local 165 for 35 years retiring in 1993. Following his retirement he started Grasshopper’s Lawn Care and worked until the age of 80.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
