David John Everhart passed away on October 2, 2026 at age 75. Born to Chuck and Sally Everhart on March 10, 1951, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Dave lived in Peoria Illinois. He was preceded in death by both parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Cynthia and her children, Tara (Pat) Hausvick and Nathan (Emily) Paquet, sisters Helen (Jeff) Everhart, Nancy (Terry) Crimmins, Jane (Michael) Everhart, and Janet (Paul) Migaki.
Dave graduated as a valedictorian at Honey Creek High School in Terre Haute, Indiana in 1969. He was a standout athlete in basketball and golf. He graduated with a degree in engineering from Purdue University in 1973, where he was president of the ATO fraternity and president of the Grand Prix Student Foundation. Dave had a very successful and fulfilling career with Caterpillar, Inc. for over 38 years. Of his many achievements and accomplishments with the company, he played an integral role in Caterpillar partnering with Walt Disney Imagineering to design the trade show exhibit at ConExpo convention in Las Vegas in 1987. Dave played and was familiar with the top golf courses throughout the country, including Pebble Beach and Augusta National. In retirement, he very much enjoyed golfing at Mt Hawley Country Club.
Visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home on October 13th from 11am to 12pm, Graveside service to follow at 1pm at Robert's Cemetery in 1601 W Jefferson st, Morton IL.
