Peoria, IL– David Ronnie Manning, 64, of Peoria passed away at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born Jan. 28, 1948 in Hickman, TN to Eva Mae Gentry. He married Cynthia Corkron and she survives. He later married Carla Z. Santos in Peoria on March 16, 2007. She survives. Also surviving are four children, Donnie (Rachel) Manning, Charles (Jami) Manning, Nicholas Manning, Jose Fernando Morales; six grandchildren, Ava, Peyton, Chloe, Caroline, Gracie, Jordyn; and one brother, Melvin (Shirley) Gentry. He was preceded in death by his mother; one brother, Larry; and infant sister, Barbara. Ronnie was as an iron worker for over 40 years. He worked for Local 112 in East Peoria and started his own iron working company, Mid-State Steel in Peoria. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He liked music and spending time with his family. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Private Graveside services will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with Pastor Paul Wurst officiating. Memorials may be made to T.A.P.S. in Pekin.
