Deanna Henke, 83, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at The Arc of Chillicothe. She was born on May 23, 1941 in Canton, a daughter of Richard Rodgers and Florence (Ogburn) Rodgers and has two sisters, Pat Althiser and Sue Dadian.
Deanna married Carl Henke on January 25, 1965 in Rockford. He survives.
She is also survived by her children, Devonna (James) Gieseler of Normal and Derek Henke of Peoria; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter who will be born any day now!
Deanna worked as a registered nurse for 30 years primarily at Caterpillar in Mossville, retiring in 1996.
Carl and Deanna were married for over 60 years! The love and devotion they have for one another is rare and precious. Deanna is a beautiful person and a much loved wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, daughter, and friend. Most of all, she is a child of God and is waiting for her family in Heaven.
Deanna's memorial visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Her memorial service will start at 5:00 pm also on Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Jeff VanGoethem will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mossville United Methodist Church, 1015 E. Mossville Road, Peoria, IL 61615.
