It's Thanksgiving day & I feel so lost without you. I've had to go though some hard things, but mama this is the hardest! I feel so withdrawn from everyone. You were the glue that held us together. I miss you soooo much. You knew the worst about me; yet you still loved me. You didn't hold it against me, instead you advised me, encouraged me, sometimes you would even vent with me, prayed for me, & always made me laugh. You were one Special lady, Lady Di... Some days I just want to stay in bed and I do....other days I force myself to face the day. Sometimes I want to call someone to tell them how I feel, but I don't want to make them cry....anyway mama I just wanted to tell you I miss you deeply, but I wanted to honor you by continuing your tradition. Although, it hurts because I can't hear your voice or see your face, I wanted to tell you what I'm thankful for. You would make us all go around & say what it was before we ate. So here goes.... I'm thankful for you being my mother when my own mother couldn't. Every time you said "This is my daughter" to someone, it made my heart smile. I never took it for granted that God blessed me with another mother. I'm  thankful for the many things you shared with me & I will always cherish it. Love you mama! Tell all my loved ones I love them too.

Hey mama! I miss you soooo much! I was watching TD Jakes & I thought back to how we would call each other & watch it as if we were in the same room. You'd say Hallelujah! I'd say amen, etc. We'd just be praising Him togetherSo much has changed since you've been gone. I wish I could call you. You always knew what to say. If you were here, you'd say baby it's going to be alright. Baby we're going to make it. Baby mama love you, oh crazy girl! You found a way to be there not just for me, but for others too. When Nae recently got a new apartment, I thought about how you would have went to a garage sale & could literally hear you saying " This child need some curtains". You just had a way of handling things & people genuinely with so much love. It hurts, but I'm grateful for the memories. I Love you mama! & I never took it for granted how you took on the mother role when I had no mother. You were awesome to me. I pray my children will say the same. See you later mama...

Spring is here and I miss you coming over sitting on the patio with us.  I thank you for the friendship and prayer time.  I know you are resting in the arms of our Master.  We will be together again.  Shermaine I am praying for you. Contact me anytime.

Not only were you a sister of same faith but, we grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the same schools. I 'm  sorry and do feel the familie's lost.  I've lost a friend and  a sister too soon.  Our heavenly Father knows best so I bow my head in humble submission to his divine will.  Amen
