Dolores J. Jackson

Dolores J. Jackson, 84, of Peoria, Illinois, died Monday, February 10, 2014 at Unity Point\Proctor in Peoria. She was born on May 18, 1929 in Tilden, Illinois. She was the daughter of William Thomas (Bessie Lorene Hemphill) Cheek. She married Victor Jackson on September 30, 1961 in Lincoln, Illinois. He preceded her in death in May of 1982 in Peoria, Illinois. She is also preceded by two sisters and a brother in law, Ruth (Leland) McLennan and Mary Lou Lonergan.

Dolores has three daughters, Vicki Grashoff of Peoria, Illinois, Penny (Stacy) Johnson of Dunlap, Illinois and Jeannie (David) Kobler of Knoxville, Illinois. She has one brother in law surviving, Jerry Lonergan of Canton, Michigan. She has six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

She worked at the Cohen Furniture Store in Peoria and for many years at Cargill-Nutrena Company. Dolores was an avid bowler and golfer in various leagues in the Peoria area, and loved playing cards.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
