Don C Bell Sr.

He was born to Harry C. and Frances Ruth (Newton) Bell on May 29, 1942 in Peoria and they preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Don C. (Angie) Bell, Jr of East Peoria, IL, Janell (Mike) Chenoweth of East Peoria and Donnell (Keith) Steele of Peoria; grandchildren, Joshua, Adam, Cody, Jennifer, Jacob, Jesse and Carson; and seven great grandchildren with one more on the way.

Don was a graduate of Woodruff High School in Peoria. He retired from Caterpillar where he had been an inventory manager for many years.

Don loved animals and supported local animal shelters including Pets For Seniors (PFS Shelter), TAPS and PAWS. He was also passionate about cars as he was a founding member and Past President of the Central IL 5.0L Mustang Club.

Don was also strong of faith as he attended Glad Tidings Church in East Peoria and was a member of Gates of Eden in Pekin.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 29 (his birthday), 2026 at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria with Daniel Botkin officiating.

His life will then be celebrated 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2026 at the Limestone Firehouse at 7800 W. Plank Road, Peoria 61604.

Memorials are suggested to the PFS Shelter or Gates of Eden.
