

Donald "Don" Clayton Farden, 89, of Washington, formerly of Morton, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 18, 1935 in Peoria, a son of Henry and Mary (Low) Farden. Don married Patsy C. St. Clair on June 26, 1955 in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by his two children, Russell L. (Peggy) Farden of Marquette Heights and Rhonda L. Carlson of East Peoria; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sister-in-laws, Alice Farden and Beverly Snyder both of Pekin; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Randy and Donald Farden; two brothers, Robert Farden and an infant brother, Richard.
He worked as a truck driver for Fleming Foods in Peoria for 41 years, retiring in 1999. He last worked as a installation technician for Biggs Awning & Window Company in Peoria.
Don was a member of Beverly Manor Missionary Baptist Church in Washington.
Don's funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Beverly Manor Missionary Baptist Church in Washington. Pastor Jason Shults will officiate. His visitation will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. An additional visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, May 2, 2025 at his church. A private committal service will take place in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
