Donald H. Koch

Donald H. Koch, 96, passed away at 9;08 P.M. on Monday, April 8, 2013 at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Lacon. Donald was born on August 22, 1916 in Quincy, IL the son of Harry & Anna Schildt Koch. He married Anita Palmer on July 15, 1939 in Peoria. She preceded him in death in 2000. He is survived by one son, Donald (Betty) of Lacon; one daughter, Donna (Terry) Rupp of Bartonville; four grandchildren, Yvonne (Andy) Verheyen of Dunlap, Donna (Jim) Anderle of Hopewell Sparland, Mark Rupp of West Peoria, and Jeff (Kelly) Rupp of Mapleton; and eight great-grandchildren. Donald was also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Lester Koch. He worked for TP&W Rail Road until his retirement. He always looked forward to seeing the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donald was an avid Duck Hunter and Fisherman. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to services. Deacon Bob Murphy will officiate. Entombment will be at Parkview Cemetery in the Chapel of Peace. Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice, St. Joseph Nursing Home or Rescue 52 in Lacon.
