Donna Louise McCarty

She was born December 28, 1940 in LaGrange, Missouri to Carl and Ducky “Ruth” (Butler) Slater. She married Martin McCarty on July 4, 1957 in LaGrange. He survives along with one son, Aaron (Tammy) McCarty of Mackinaw 8 grandchildren: Meagan, Shane, Zac, Hunter, Garrick, Dylan, Tyler, Keegan, two great-grandchildren: Jovie, Spencer, two brothers: Charles Slater of Shepherdsville, KY, Larry Slater of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Karla McCarty, one son, Darren McCarty, three sisters: Helen, Betty, Darlene, and four brothers: Carl, Bobby, Johnny, and Donald.

Earlier in life she enjoyed attending her children’s school activities and was a member of Kiwanis. Lately she enjoyed spending time with her family, and doing crosswords and puzzles with Martin.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange, MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Marks Cemetery in LaGrange, Missouri.
