She was born on April 23, 1933 in Waubay, South Dakota to the late Clifford and Alta (Watkins) Graves. Her family came to the Peoria area when she was young. She graduated from Woodruff High School in 1951.
She married Marion Lewis Moreland on February 23, 1957 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL. After 59 years together, Marion preceded her in death on October 1, 2016.
She had worked at Redeemer Lutheran Preschool, Concordia Lutheran Elementary School, and lastly retiring as a bank teller with PNC Bank in 1993.
Donna and her parents were founding members of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She volunteered with the Methodist Hospital Service League and in the Lutheran Hillside Village Store and with her church. She and her husband enjoyed ballroom dancing and bowling in various leagues. She enjoyed playing with her pinochle card club. She also enjoyed crafts, painting, and at least once a week could be seen shopping at Kohl's and redeeming her coupons.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristy (Stanley) Freeman, her sister, Lois Masters, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is also preceded by her daughters, Julie Moreland and Sandra Moreland. She is preceded by her siblings, Gary Graves, Marguerite Shaklee, Donald Graves, Clifford "Bud" Graves, Jack Graves, and Robert Graves.
Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Visitation one hour prior to the service at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Marion and Donna Moreland Memorial Fund at Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Donna Moreland Memorial Fund at Service League of Methodist Medical Center.
