Dora was born on October 27, 1925 in Easton, Illinois the daughter of Chriss & Verda Haynes Bubert. She married George “Lem” Adams in Peoria on March 2, 1946.
She is survived by two daughters Brenda (Stan) Shields of Peoria Heights, and Debbie (Stan) Matheny of Peoria; two daughter-in-laws, Theresa Adams of Peoria Heights, and Linda Adams of Peoria; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Dora was preceded in death by her Husband, two sons Terry and Don Adams, one infant daughter, and two brothers.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at Bel-Wood for several years before retiring in 1986.
Dora was a AWANA leader through church and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Services will be 1:00p.m., Friday January 27, 2012 at Davison –Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to services. Pastor John Bagley will officiate.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
