Earl L. Blane

Born September 11, 1928 in Peoria to Frank and Harriet (Leffler) Blane, he married Maxine Acuff on March 12, 1949, also in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are: daughters, Janet (James) Bush of Bettendorf, IA, Jill (Michael) Bean of Peoria, and Joy (David) Martin of Pella, IA; grandchildren, Chad (Lorraine) Hazelwood, Sunny Stalter, Casey (Jeff) Kimler, Julie Bush, Jeff (Krista) Bush, Justin (Sara) Bush, Janelle (Josh) Carter, Caleb Martin and Hanna Martin; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Earl was a driver for Sealtest Foods for 24 years. He was also a carpenter in the maintenance departments at Jumers and Illinois Central College. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, and attended Northwoods Community Church. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League, Veteran’s Assistance Commission, American Legion Post #2, Peoria Memorial Association, and a volunteer for the East Peoria Festival of Lights and Northwoods Church.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday February 2, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.

Visitation will be the two hours preceding. Cremation rites will be accorded afterwards, with private interment of cremains at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Northwoods Community Church.
